cable making
Hello everyone. I need some assistance with connecting my Ingenico iCT220 POS terminal to a router using a Cat5e cable. I plan to use connectors at both ends of the cable, but I’m unsure about the pinouts or colors on each side. Could anyone clarify which pins or colors correspond to the two ends? Thank you!
You're correct about the standard Ethernet pinout being 586B. Your search attempts were logical, but it seems the information isn't readily available online. Consider checking your specific hardware documentation or contacting the manufacturer for confirmation.
It seems you're referring to a cable connection setup for the Ingenico iCT220. The port isn't intended for internet use; it's meant to connect via a router port, allowing internet access instead of a phone line. Even when internet isn't available, it supports DHCP or manual IP configuration. A colleague mentioned it can also work over the internet, not just through a phone line.
It includes an IP address allowing you to connect via telnet and set up configurations.
I also shared the same idea. However, the company support center mentioned that iCT220 functions through both phone and internet connections. Recently, a few hours ago, I went to a store with a particular POS system. The store manager informed me it operates via the internet.
