Hi, I bought my computer from a friend a while back since he didn’t use it. I noticed a blue cable that connects to the front IO panel—it’s blue and I’m not sure what it’s for. A few USB ports aren’t working either. Where should I connect it? Thanks.

The device uses a USB 3.0 port. A typical motherboard features a blue connector at the end of the cable.

I’m having trouble seeing anything on my board. I checked the manual, but there’s nothing that matches the cable size. I’ve uploaded the manual, so it should be clear now—but I’m a bit nervous about damaging anything.

As @OhioYJ mentioned, it should be #9. Make sure to align it properly. It might require a little effort to insert it correctly. Don’t hesitate to make adjustments if needed.

Others mentioned #9 as the correct choice. The label appears differently, possibly due to color variation. Notice the small indentation on the connector—match it with the notch for proper placement. There are 19 pins on the headers. Though the connector seems to have 20 holes, the 20th is actually obstructed. It's wise to inspect the headers for any bent or crooked pins before connecting; a bent pin could lead to a completely damaged one.

The manual mentions a USB 3.1 header and confirms the alignment of holes and pins. It suggests there’s only one suitable spot for insertion, which is pre-drilled. Your concern seems unfounded—just plug it in.
