Hey there, I'm working on fine-tuning my high-end RAM for Crosshair VIII Formula on a 3950x build using the F4-3600C14Q-32GTZN kit. The B-die is decent quality at 8GBx4. My tests show that 1T timings aren't giving me smooth results—tightening secondary timings often causes weird post behavior. The board freezes on C4 or 15 during post, and instead of a clear post error message, I see the BIOS menu pop up. I'm curious if other Crosshair VIII Heroes or Formula players are facing similar overclocking challenges.

Four configurations tend to face more issues, so make sure GDM is active. Increasing the voltage also assists, aiming for a SOC of 1.1V and a memory voltage of 1.45V.

I've noticed that adjusting my SOC and connected voltages often leads to these issues appearing more frequently. I prefer having precise timing settings rather than relying on GDM, so I can verify stability beforehand. After reviewing the changes, I plan to switch it back to power mode once I'm satisfied. Thanks for the advice—I've been testing these adjustments. It's interesting how responsive this board is during memory setup in the boot process; even my 2 stick 3200 CL 14 16GBx2 system wouldn't perform well on it. Overall, the performance has improved noticeably, especially with the 3600 CL 16 timing, which gives a better throughput and passes Memtest 8 successfully.
