Ice water container used to chill the hot component. Because the hot side stays near 0°C, the cold side approaches -30°C. (idle) Performance metrics during Cinebench load show temperatures around 25°C.

Wouldn't it be more effective to chill the CPU directly using that ice water?

Perhaps it was possible. I managed 4ghz with 16 threads and 1.19v across all cores. Ambient performance would likely hover near 1.40v, with minor variations. The results on ice water seemed comparable, though Tap to Drain 14c water delta didn’t match. The v-core came in at about 1.2750v. I used two different CPU plates and the chip was lidless. Of course, we need solid evidence to confirm these findings. I don’t want to spread misinformation or exaggerations.

The temperature difference between 25c and normal 80c is pretty noticeable, I think. I'm curious to see if the same impact occurs when I chill my rams down to subzero.
