It will operate only on an i7 7700K processor. You may also use the Xeon 1285 v6 with it.

C230 refers to a collection of chipsets including C232, C236, CM236 and CM238. CM stands for mobile processors, all based on Skylake and Kaby Lake architectures. This means only Intel Core and Xeon models from the 6th and 7th generation are compatible.
