Windows indicates the C: drive requires repair, but after attempting the fix, no changes occur and the problem persists. It seems there might be an underlying issue that needs further investigation.

I usually handle things at a basic level. When you open CMD and run chkdsk, it will show the results. This is likely the same program you used before, just with a different interface. Another choice could be a third-party free software. I’ve heard about Crystaldiskmark there—it might offer improved reporting features too.

Check the installation by running it to identify any issues.

Run chkdsk from the command prompt to scan for disk errors. For crsstdiskmark, use it to inspect your system's disk status and identify issues.

Right-click the drive > Error Checking > Confirm yes, it seems to be the same issue, just a different method. Otherwise, you might not have admin privileges.

Execute "sudo chkdsk" and be prompted for your admin password. It seems you're using a user account.

Looking at the drive with a right-click gives the same outcome—warning, restart, scan and fix—but after that, the repair still flags it as needing work. Using chkdsk /r didn’t change anything either. What’s happening?

try running sfc /scannow there's a slight chance that might fix the error

I also tried these options and they worked. Probably the drive is okay since I haven’t experienced any problems.

If your SSD shows these symptoms, it indicates a physical drive issue. I recommend backing up your files to another storage as quickly as possible. Consider reinstalling Windows on the same drive with a full reformat for a clean setup. If the problem persists after applying all Windows security updates, ensure your drive is up-to-date and replace it if necessary. Important Tip: Run a deep virus scan on your drive before proceeding to confirm no malware is present.
