Burning PCIe NVMe adaptors
Burning PCIe NVMe adaptors
Hello everyone. I bought several PCIe NVMe adaptors for my S2600GZ motherboard, and from the attached photo it looks like all three got damaged at the same place. I think the voltage in the PCIe riser slot might be too high for them, but the latest BIOS doesn’t let me adjust it. I’m wondering if there’s a way to safely connect another NVMe adapter without a riser card, or if I need one before doing so? Thanks in advance!
The slots on the motherboard aren't directly compatible with standard PCIe connectors; you'll need risers for any connections. And indeed, obtaining risers could add extra expense compared to just buying the board.
Great! I'll look for some budget-friendly riser cards now. Thanks!
