I require a fresh setup for remote work. I have experience assembling PCs and enjoy experimenting with technology.
I’m seeking guidance on an appropriate build based on the following needs.

Usage priority from highest to lowest:
40% Photoshop – Digital art & photo editing at 2K+ resolution
20% Blender – Vehicle modeling, hard surface work, and rendering
15% Video recording (OBS) and post-production (DaVinci)
10% Gaming – Currently playing Outer Worlds
15% Web browsing and Microsoft Office

• 1TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe.M2 (3 years old, for reference images)
• 2TB WD WD2002FAEX Caviar Black (from an older PC build, possibly using as a backup drive with a docking station)

Most importantly, I need to replace the failing laptop.
Ever done an all white build? It's a bit over budget, but here's the opportunity. Any of the builds above that are based on a 265k, 5070 ti, 64gb+ RAM, and at least 2TB of a DRAM cache NVMe drive for the OS is good in my book.

The differences between Intel and AMD CPUs for Blender, Photoshop, and video editing are not significant in performance. Regarding cooling, most people prefer air cooling, though liquid options are available. Your preference for air cooling is understandable, but liquid might be better long-term if it suits your needs.

Photoshop doesn’t need many CPU cores:

Video editing programs and DaVinci Resolve both thrive with plenty of CPU cores and strong GPUs:

Certain video editors work well on Intel CPUs, but I selected AMD (7950X) in 2022 since it used less power than the Intel i9-13900K.
Sticking with NVidia GPUs seems best if they require CUDA support.
I picked a large air cooler (Noctua NH-D15), though a 360mm/420mm AIO might help push more performance from a modern CPU during boosts.
A ThermalRight Phantom Spirit 120SE costs around £32.59 and likely outperforms my £110 NH-D15.

I plan to maintain this rig as long as possible, replacing components as needed. The last build I recommended by the forum members lasted me eight years before I had to move to a laptop. One of my Dell monitors is still functioning well!
