Hey everyone, just installed the new components for my PC. The CPU is a Ryzen 7 7700X, the motherboard is MSI Pro B650P WiFi, and the GPU is an Aorus 3070. The SSD is an Inland premium M.2 1TB. RAM is Gskill DDR5 Flarex5 32GB. I’m using a Cooler Master 850W Gold Plus PSU. After setup, the debug light came up yellow on the RAM and red on the CPU. I tested each RAM stick individually, but none worked. I bought these RAM sticks from Micro Center and cleaned the slots with an eraser, but the issue persists. When I removed my cooler (Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360) and reinstalled the CPU, the light stayed red. I double-checked all cables to make sure they were plugged in correctly. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?

It's typical for those LEDs to activate during initial startup, but they should deactivate after memory training finishes. You should allow the system to run for 2-3 minutes on the first boot to confirm proper failure.

Consider the recommended time—typically no longer than 5 minutes—to avoid overdoing it.

The issue isn't necessarily linked to the CPU or RAM stick itself, but could point elsewhere in the system.

Five minutes should suffice, but adding a little extra time wouldn’t hurt. Verify each stick individually in every RAM slot to check for any dead sticks. Also, DDR5 mounting pressure tends to be sensitive—usually it likes more force rather than less (though excess can be an issue). Ensure you apply sufficient mounting pressure, as it’s often stronger than expected. Double-checking the power connections to both the CPU and PSU is also a good practice.

Confirming both RAM sticks and the display remain visible, how likely is it the RAM is faulty if you purchased them from Micro Center? You've inspected all connections and replaced everything. The yellow RAM and red CPU indicators persist. You included some clear photos for reference.

Missed the CPU power connectors, you must have at least one plugged in for the system to start. Also, please ensure the correct connection is made so we receive a notification. I just checked this again.

The device included two cables, I linked one to the CPU fan and the other to the LED light.

I’m really confused here. I didn’t notice that connector and I was just hooking up the fans. I’ll let you know what happened.
