Hey there, I heard you're working on a custom build with a Ryzen 7 3800X and a 1650 GPU. You're thinking about swapping it to a 4060 or 3060/Ti and boosting RAM to 32GB. I get it—nervous about CPU bottlenecks and power limits. Since you didn’t build the system yourself, it’s smart to double-check everything. Just remember, your PSU needs enough wattage for the new components, and make sure the cables are correctly oriented. If you’re unsure about any setup, it’s better to verify before diving in. Let me know if you want tips on testing or upgrading safely!

You can effortlessly power your setup with a 600w PSU if you intend to use the 4060. The upgrade will be straightforward too. The 3800x shouldn’t slow you down significantly—no major concerns there. Get the 4060 or an AMD alternative and keep enjoying your games.

The 1650 features a different power connector configuration compared to the 4060. Its power usage is notably efficient, so your PSU should handle it well.

It seems the device likely employs a six-pin connector.

It might not be an issue (meaning you won't have to reorder their cables) if the cable features two separate pins that detach, as I can see in your photo.
