Hello! Welcome to the "Socks n Sandals" forum. To jump right in, I'm planning a desk upgrade and since both my wife and I love gaming, I thought about a "2 Gamers 1 CPU Desk Version." We each have a 3060 processor, but I'm wondering if a PCIe 5950x would be enough for this build or if I should consider a Threadripper instead.

The fact that the lanes use PCI 4.0 allows you to assign half of them while still achieving full bandwidth, ensuring you have sufficient lanes.

It wouldn't be a good idea to set up just two computers together. While the idea is interesting, it tends to cause a lot of problems with software and other complications. Using them separately would be much simpler.
