I have stutter issues. I am not sure if it is directly related to the 3800x I'm using, a buggy bios or driver conflict. I recently upgraded from a 4770k to a 3800x and I seem to have stutter problems in some games. Video of Gears 5. I'm not dropping frames per say it just a rough constant stutter while moving. Also notice it in games like cs go. Not as prevalent as Gears but enough to annoy you while playing. So far I've tried many things like enabling and disabling settings in my bios such as xmp, PBO with no luck. I have updated my bios, chipset and graphics drivers in that order. I have messed with Nvidia global settings like low latency mode on and off but it all looks the same. Temps are normal around 70c while under load. I'm somewhat at a loss as to what to try next. Hoping someone here has had similar issues that may be able to point me in the right direction. Tweaks in the bios maybe? Specs are as fallowed: Ryzen 3800x stock settings Msi x570 Gaming Edge Wifi 32GB Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 3200c16 EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW3 Corsair RM 750 PSU Dell S2716DGR 144hz Gsync Monitor Gears_of_War_5_2020_03.18_-_23_57_35.01_Trim.mp4

The 3rd Gen Ryzen relies heavily on RAM speed, especially timing. Consider adjusting the timings and ensuring the memory and infinity fabric match the same frequency. It might be related to CPU frame time issues.

I've confirmed the fabric clock aligns with the memory clock and Dram frequency, all set at 1600. The timing details are still unclear since I haven't explored those settings much due to limited experience. I'm relying on the XMP profile to handle it.

There's a tool that suggests timing settings based on what RAM you're running, works well for me(defo not the best tightening you can do but it's pretty good)

I also tried that, but it crashed. Even though I used the quick recommendation. I’ll give it another try! Also, I’m assuming dual rank equals dual channel—that was the only thing that confused me with this calculator.

I adjust my approach and try again. It takes more time, but I’ll see which methods are effective.

Your current time settings are correct. You can fine-tune them gradually, such as 15-17-17-35, and you'll find it rewarding since you're willing to put in the effort. You have plenty of time for this.

I used the tool and everything is working properly. I accidentally chose Samsung B Die, but after checking the manufacturer it turned out to be Hynix. Now the system boots fine. The performance isn’t great—maybe it’s just a low-quality build? I paid more for RGB features, not necessarily better quality. I adjusted settings and tested again, but the game still stutters. Could be a driver problem, even after reinstalling them.

Have you updated the x570 chipset drivers? https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/x570 These will enable Ryzen-specific power plans. I suggest moving to Ryzen High Performance and checking the results. If that doesn’t work, share a screenshot of Ryzen Master so we can review your settings.

Yes. I have selected and tried both AMD Ryzen balanced and Performance plan. Here is a screenshot of my Ryzen Master. I have manually oc'd my cpu as well to see if that was the case but still the same
