Dear All,
My old computer from before the COVID-19 era is showing signs of wear and I’m considering an upgrade to:

CPU: Intel Core Ultra 7 265F
Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING B860-PLUS WIFI
Fan: THERMALRIGHT Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB
Memory: Corsair Vengeance - CMK48GX5M2B6000C30W 2x24GB
PSU: Corsair RM850e White 80 PLUS Gold
Case: Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX
GPU: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 4060 OC Edition 8GB GDDR6
SSD: SAMSUNG 990 PRO 1TB

I require a stable system ideal for R, Python, MATLAB, and some occasional 3D CAD work. It should not be overclocked or used for gaming. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas for improvements.
Thanks a lot.

Hey there,
That's really good. The parts you picked are solid, except for the PSU which is decent. The PSU isn't bad, but the RMe models are a bit inferior compared to the RMx. They have lower quality components. I might consider going for the RMx instead. I think it wouldn't be that much more expensive.
As before, understanding your budget and where you want to buy it could help us find other suitable options.

Thank you for the feedback. I'm not based in the USA, and costs vary across EU countries, so including a budget could introduce bias. Here are some PSU options you might consider:
Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 Snow 850W TT Premium Edition ATX3.0
Corsair RM850x SHIFT 80 PLUS Gold 850W
Seasonic Focus GX ATX 3.0 80Plus Gold 750W
Seasonic FOCUS PLUS GOLD 750W

We have options to select various countries within the EU, utilizing PCPP. Pick components. Assemble your system. Review and exchange. pcpartpicker.com

Choose liquid cooling for better cooling and quieter performance. There are many excellent coolers, but some can become annoying due to excessive noise!

The Corsair and seasonic are all excellent choices. There hasn't been a review of the TT yet, so perhaps
@Aeacus
might have looked into it. I can't say for myself. I like the RMx Shift, but you'll need a case that fits it.

Another summon, another visit.
Let's see...
Mediocre quality, Tier B (or B-). Released in 2023, OEM: CE Link.
Tt made a switcheroo and now, GF-A3 PSUs sold in North America, are not HKC made but instead CE Link made.
Aris'es review:
https://hwbusters.com/psus/thermaltake-t...review/11/
And new OEM, among other issues, has poorer PSU to offer.
GF-A3 Snow and GF-A3 Hydrangea Blue are the same CE Link made ones, where there seems no change to the platform itself, compared to the regular CE Link unit. Only the name and color of the PSU is different.
So, not a good PSU overall.
Great quality, Tier A+. Released in 2023, OEM: CWT.
Good quality, Tier A. Released in 2023, OEM: Seasonic. Though, transient response and OTP hasn't been tested with this series.
Good quality, Tier A. Released in 2017, OEM: Seasonic.
RMx Shift is the best of them all. But since it has power connectors on it's side, make sure your PC case has enough cable management space at the back of MoBo tray. Else-ways, you can't close the back panel.
2nd best option would be either of the two Seasonic units. Sure, original Focus+ is a bit old, but it still is solid build quality with 10 year warranty.
And i wouldn't consider Tt unit, since you have availability and funds for good/great quality PSU.
