Aligned with Why_Me, having the budget would make you more future-proof. After all, it's currently the top gaming CPU available. The 7800X3D comes in as a strong contender.

Save more today for greater gains later. The 7800X3D offers most of the performance while cutting costs. If we secure a 10800X3D, expectations suggest a single CCD 12 core with a solid node improvement. I think this would be a superior long-term choice compared to the 9800X3D, though it hinges on your goals.
