DDR4 3600 CL18 offers similar performance to DDR4 3200 CL16. The 3600 CL16 provides optimal speed, while the 3200 CL16 shows only a minor difference. Zen 3 tends to be slightly slower regarding RAM speed compared to earlier Zen models. It’s not advisable to opt for an 11700k processor. An i5 12400/12500 would perform better than this chip.

I’d like a bit more detail about the GPU. What are the benefits of picking the RX6700XT instead of the RTX2080? The benchmark site mentions the 2080 is quicker and more affordable.
Regarding the monitor, would you say the XG2705-2k is better than the G32QC? I chose the latter mainly because it performed well in some reviews and matches a 34" display I’ve been using.
Userbenchmark is a site focused on trash content. The 6700xt performs better than an RTX 2080. From the techspot review.
Checking out would be to pick what you prefer more. I’m still using 1440p at 60hz Lenovo monitors, so high refresh settings aren’t something I’m very familiar with.

The i5 CPU with 14 cores might seem appealing for gaming, but it's worth considering other factors beyond just the core count.
I would steer clear of the 13th and 14th generation models. I’m not confident Intel has genuinely resolved those degradation concerns. Usually I’d reference a 7800x3d, but the market price is higher because supply is tight. It might be wise to wait for the 9800x3d arriving in a few weeks.
The i5 offers strong single-threaded performance at a reasonable price, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious buyers. While some have noted problems with Intel CPUs deteriorating over time, recent BIOS updates and extended warranties now cover 13th and 14th generation models for five years. These updates appear to address the concerns, though third-party verification remains limited, leading many to remain cautious. Personally, I think the fixes and warranty extensions provide enough reassurance.

Sound Cards, Wired Network Adapters, Wireless Network Adapters, Headphones, Keyboards, Mice, Speakers, Webcams, Case Accessories, Case Fans, Fan Controllers, Thermal Compound, External Storage, Optical Drives, and UPS Systems seem relevant. I’m not sure if using an old keyboard and optical mouse will work without additional components. Can you help me confirm the best setup?
