You might consider other processors as well. An older, more affordable Ryzen 3 or Ryzen 5 could work, especially if you're looking for budget-friendly upgrades. An Intel option is also possible, though I’d prefer staying on the Ryzen line for better future support. Since those are the only inexpensive choices available, the Ryzen 3 3100 at $130 and the Ryzen 3 3300x around $180 seem like solid options.

Nvec performs well technically, matching x264. However, 3470 could limit performance since it acts as a bottleneck.

Choosing 3300x doesn't make much sense. A 3100 would suffice better. It really depends on the quality setting, but most users prefer it. Of course, some titles have less than ideal 4c/4t CPUs. If you can manage it, try another year and save up for the next-gen models. If that's possible or even desired.
