Hi all, I am looking for some suggestions on some good budget 2x8gb RAM sticks. Good, but not expensive, gold plated, Lamborghini, stupid-expensive RAM. Budget options? Country availability? Applications? Just sort from least expensive and check the best price for 3200 cl16/3600 cl18 RAM sticks. Brand isn't important unless you need a particular chipset (like Neo Forza, Micron, etc.). If you want even cheaper, consider generic 2133-2666 8GB Samsung DRAM modules and boost them to 3200/3600 speeds—they can push over 4000 but don’t have VCCSA tuning for non-K or non-Z boards.
Avoid pushing your memory beyond its limits. Opt for the most affordable 3200MHz CL16 package you can locate—often a Silicon Power kit works well, though availability varies. For those seeking higher performance, consider Crucial Ballistix 3000MHz CL15 or 3200MHz CL16 kits; they deliver solid overclocking potential at reasonable prices. If budget allows, a used Samsung B die is an option, or explore Corsair models for v4.31 and reliable options like 3200MHz CL14, 4400MHz CL19-19-19, or 4000MHz CL19-19-19.
Vccsa is restricted for non K + non Z board combinations, making it tough to exceed 3600. Lowering to 2133-2666 bare PCBs from Samsung RAMs works well up to 3200/3600, which is the best choice. You might also like dual-sided Samsung 4Gbit dies—they should handle 3200/3600 at stable voltages (1.5-1.7V) and you won’t need such high speeds anyway. This removes the dual-side drawback while keeping the performance advantages of dual rank.
