It doesn't make much difference. Most games don't require more than 7-10GB of RAM, and no game gains advantage from having 32GB.

No advantage unless it's a tiny game that fits on a 10-20 GB RAM drive and launches quickly there

I concur, no. What I've observed and learned indicates the focus is mainly on CPU clock speed and graphics card. This explains why these components are the most expensive in the setup.
