Budget PC Upgrade [part 2]
Budget PC Upgrade [part 2]
I plan to assemble a new PC in early 2024. At this stage I haven’t started using 4K gaming, but I want to run 1080p or even 1440p titles at full settings with a solid frame rate—around 100 FPS would be sufficient. This would be the most demanding scenario I expect. I’m not aiming for overclocking and prefer a build that remains functional for several years without major upgrades. If any of my existing parts can be reused, here’s the current configuration I have: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Wedod/saved/#view=ZBpJxr. I’m targeting a budget between $1000 and $2000, with $1500 being the sweet spot. Thanks!
I believe the PSU could be repurposed. https://pcpartpicker.com/product/wqkwrH/...p9020099na Even if it were brand new, I’d advise discarding it. This part often leads to numerous issues. The type of cooling you’ll need in 2024 might be excessive for that case, lacking proper airflow. And possibly memory (with upgrade)? DDR3 is incompatible today. Hardware from 2020 uses DDR4, and we’re now using DDR5. Could you clarify the intended use case for your PC? That would help refine my recommendations. Stop creating multiple threads; Question - (Budget) PC Overhaul I own an old PC, and any upgrade would mean swapping many parts. Here’s my current setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Wedod/saved/#view=ZBpJxr I think I could reuse the PSU, case, storage, and maybe memory. I’d like to keep the entire build under $800... forums.
