I've been reading recent reviews for an ASUS ROG and think it fits your budget, possibly available at WalMart. Check out 'Dawid Does Tech' and 'Toasty Bros' on YouTube for more details. From what I remember, it throttled a bit, so good ventilation isn't a standout feature here. I mentioned it had an 1650 GPU, but maybe the numbers are mixed up. It seems to have only 8GB of RAM, though Dawid opened it and found a free slot with a single stick installed.

This option seems suitable
Link available, but there’s no office or Adobe included. About 99% of laptops won’t come with this—it’s an extra purchase. Windows Home and Student cost $120, while Adobe Reader is free; if you need Adobe Acrobat it’s $300. Adding software to the price means a laptop around $400 now, making it very difficult to get everything you want.

As for the comments, I’ve rewritten them to match the original structure.

That's a good observation about the software. I'll take the aftermarket version instead, or else it would limit my choices too much.
The ROG G15 appears appealing, but the most affordable model I discovered was around 1300. That seems a bit steep for my budget.

Hi - the ROG G15 seems expensive, but the MSI GF63 might be a better option.

The MSI GF75 appears quite promising, particularly with its 144Hz performance. Any thoughts?

For Cod Warzone you'll need a powerful GPU. Within your price range, the Nvidia 1650 is what you're really after.
Budget-friendly options include the Acer Nitro 5, Lenovo Legion 5, Asus Tuf, MSI GF65 and HP Pavilion Gaming. The most affordable choice would be the one linked here:
https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp/hp-pav...-2r1x7av-1
You can then upgrade it with an extra 8GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD for under $850.
In terms of durability, the Acer Nitro 5 and Asus Tuf stand out among these models.

It's a solid machine considering its price, offering 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD. However, it doesn't perform well at 144Hz; you'd need to sacrifice graphics quality, and the four-core CPU would find it difficult to run smoothly.

This option includes a more powerful i7 10750H with six cores and twelve threads, plus an Nvidia 3050 GPU. It comes with $770 after the rebate, allowing for an additional 8GB of DDR4 RAM without exceeding your budget. This offers a significantly better value in my opinion.

Additionally, it's worth noting: https://www.newegg.com/top-cover-mi...3050_gaming laptop-_-2WC-0001-02S11-_-Product
AMD 6 core with 3050.

Thank you so much Nighthawk117!! The two choices you recommended were clearly the top options I encountered during my extensive research. - I just finalized the order for this laptop about five minutes ago. The purchase included Dying Light 2 (I've played over 200 hours on Dying Light) and an unadvertised MSI loot box!
I truly value your time and effort, as well as all the others who provided helpful information and suggestions.
Estimated delivery is February 16th!
Best wishes to you all!
