Budget gaming laptop priced at 699USD featuring 16GB RAM
I have been testing Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 for the past eight hours and I’m uncertain about what to do anymore. It fits within my budget and has good reviews. The concern is that the 8GB of RAM seems insufficient now. Options with 16GB of RAM are much more expensive, especially in Serbia. At least under 700 USD or 660 Euros? I don’t require a lot of storage—500GB SSD would suffice—and I’m not looking for advanced features. All I need is 16GB RAM and the best GPU and CPU possible within that budget.
I understand. If I choose to add more storage, the issue is I’m unsure how to verify the exact RAM configuration. For instance, the description mentions 8GB RAM at 3200MHz, but it doesn’t provide specifics. The Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15 82K20087HV variant is what I’m thinking of, but I can’t find the precise RAM model used. What concerns me more is that there are various laptops with different RAM types (like 3050, 1650, etc.) yet they’re all listed under the same variant.
I wouldn't expect anything too unusual about what Lenovo is using, they likely vary between models even for the same SKU. It probably comes down to checking the serial number on the RAM module itself by searching online. If the cover is empty, it might be worth replacing, but focusing on CL RAM details when buying a cheap laptop isn't really necessary—it won't make a big difference.
Would you suggest adding an extra 8GB of 3200MHz RAM with the same exact CL if I manage to find it during purchase?
