You can obtain a B450 motherboard. Remember to update the BIOS. The MSI B450 Tomahawk and MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon are excellent choices.

I believe I'll go with the Asus B450 gaming model and invest in a larger SSD with that budget.

Asus does not offer USB flashback functionality similar to MSI. With MSI boards, it is possible to update the BIOS without a CPU present.
