Hey, I need to swap out my CPU and motherboard because they’re not working. I’m looking for a CPU and motherboard together under $120, and I only need something basic for web browsing and watching movies. It doesn’t matter if it’s AMD or Intel, just keep it affordable.

This whole setup is significantly improved compared to what you had before. Do you already have the remaining components? If not, this system will perform web browsing just as well as a high-end machine. You mentioned you wanted a CPU and motherboard, but what about RAM? It would be hard to suggest anything without that information.

the 12gb ddr3 speed doesn't match the configuration where one stick is 4gb and another is 8gb. it was sold that way when I purchased it.

Got any other parts? If not then just buy a used i5 dell on ebay and call it a day. No need to make an expensive system that won't be better for browsing the web than that machine.
