Yesterday I got Fallout 3 from Steam and it worked fine. But soon after, my PC crashed with a BSOD. After checking online, it seems the issue was linked to a DMA violation, which matched what the BSOD reported. I didn’t update any drivers recently. The code 0x000000e6 was found, along with its details, but after rebooting everything worked properly. I even restarted once more to confirm. Playing Marvel's Spiderman was smooth afterward. It still feels odd, but it doesn’t seem like a major problem.

DMA violation usually involves a driver issue. A single occurrence isn't a big deal. If it repeats, check your system and update the drivers accordingly. GPU, chipset, etc.

Thanks for the reply. I will do that if it happens again. I suppose what confuses me is that all my drivers are up to date. I make sure the GPU is especially up to date and windows updated just a few days ago, so not sure why it occurred. Oh well. Is there a "time-limit" to determine if it is a one off? Or is it just "wait and see." I am currently on the PC and it is working just fine. Thanks again

New users often face BSODs and crashes. I recently upgraded and had to revert to an older version because it failed in production software. These issues can occur occasionally or repeatedly, which is hard to predict. Just keep an eye on it.
