BSOD Issue
BSOD Issue
That’s one. My recollection shows two possibilities, but at least one needs to begin since it’s a recording setup and defaults to no capture. It seems infrequent, yet the files grow quite large over time. The voice meter feature would have been added later. Did the installation line up with the onset of difficulties? These intermittent blue screens but otherwise stable behavior suggest something is working just enough. I’m not sure if the open space calibrator is the issue, as troubleshooting it might be challenging.
I'm just going to include this alongside what I have here. I tried everything, and it's still not working. At this stage, I'm planning to abandon it and wait until I can afford a new laptop. Right now, I don't know what to fix, and I'm really frustrated. I just need an answer about who's crashing my computer—not trying to sort through all the open and closed issues. This stopped working while in VRChat.

BUGCHECK ANALYSIS
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL – A high interrupt level was attempted on an invalid address. Likely due to faulty driver addresses. If a debugger is available, get the stack trace.
Debugging info:
- CPU activity: 1781 ms
- Debugger data: 905 ms
- Initialization: 905 ms
- Memory peak: 74 MB
Details:
Key values – CPU and memory stats were recorded.
Analysis flags indicated possible misalignment or invalid operations.
Stack trace suggests a trap frame issue, but some registers appear zeroed.
Process name: VRChat.exe
Crash occurred at frame fffff888736dfe4f0
Blackbox findings:
- No direct BUGCHECK codes matched
- Possible kernel-level misbehavior
Resolution needed: clear the crash and plan a replacement.
It seems like you're asking about identifying the source of a problem. Could you provide more details? I'm here to help clarify or investigate further.
In which driver's seat were you? I can't recall the statement clearly.
Ah, okay. Yeahh that's kinda what i'm getting sometimes. When I blue screen, they don't give a reason as to why it crashed. It just give s a random crash error, and then I had to restart. The only things it rarely gave for a reason was afd.sys, Dxgmms2.sys, Wdf01000.sys, Amdppm.sys, and Wpprecorder.sys. These all crashed around 3/11/22-4/12/22. I have the whole manual listing I typed out.
I’d likely take a different approach, but if I had to decide, I’d probably start by booting in safe mode. It would help confirm the issue without further complications. Safe mode disables unknown drivers and uses stable alternatives, which could reveal if the problem lies with a corrupt driver.
I attempted a unique method to launch it using only the drivers, but it triggered a blue screen repeatedly. I suspect the audio issue is responsible. The crash message reads "Driver Verifier Detected Violation." This indicates a problem with bugchecks. Specifically, driver 0xC4 was flagged due to registry flags and kernel checks. Common crashes linked to this include 0xC1 and 0xA. Details below:
- Argument 1: 0000000000002000
- Issue: Code integrity failure – expected type not met.
- Address in code: 0000000072436350
- Pool type: fffff800007f91ba
- Debug info: Timestamp verification failed, CPU and memory metrics recorded.
Potential fixes involve adjusting executable pool settings or reviewing registry entries.
