BSOD help
Your computer stopped working during a game, froze, then restarted but displayed a strange screen. After trying again, it booted into Windows but crashed right away, showing another error message about a service issue. You suspect two possible causes: using a low-quality OEM key for Windows or recently adding more RAM and having to manually adjust its settings.
Updated. I took out the new RAM modules. Performed some stress tests, and everything is working properly. Any suggestions on why the two fresh sticks caused the crash after a few hours? It’s identical to the original RAM. Same settings and timing. Could it be the motherboard or the driver?
It's a more affordable model. Not the absolute cheapest, but definitely not the most appealing. This is the B450M Pro 4 from ASRock.
It became steady using just two sticks, but adding the other two didn’t work at speeds above 3000 (even though they’re rated for 3200). If you need more stability, consider adjusting settings or upgrading components. You’d prefer all 32 gigs but are willing to lower performance if it means better speed.
