Recent events:
- A few days ago I encountered a BSOD with the message "Video TDR Failure" and the error file nvlddmkm.sys.
- Just before updating to Windows 21H2, I received this issue.
- I looked online, updated drivers, but after entering login credentials, the problem persisted.
- After a few attempts, it stopped working for four days.
- On day five, the same error reappeared.
After a clean Windows install, the NVIDIA control panel appeared on the desktop—then another BSOD occurred.
I tried uninstalling the GPU via Safe Mode, reinstalling drivers, and even performed a full system wipe.
Still, I can’t access my PC anymore.

GPU settings in BIOS may need activation to access iGPU ports. Nvidia Control Panel is already installed by default since Windows fetches drivers automatically during updates. To bypass this, perform an offline setup and install drivers manually before going live. The main issue remains unclear, but if driver problems persist, a clean offline installation with the newest display drivers on a USB stick is recommended.
