BSOD following the upgrade to Ryzen 7 9800X3D
I was operating my laptop normally for the previous day until the circuit breaker tripped. Following that, the machine freezes and displays a blue screen. After rebooting, it restarts and then repeats the issue after about 5 to 10 minutes. I have XMP and Expo activated. The processor is a Ryzen 7 9800X3D, model X870 Aorus Elite, equipped with WIFI7, DDR5 6000, and a Corsair GPU. The graphics card is an RTX 3070, and the power supply is an RM850 with 80+ Gold certification.
These factors might trigger power surges upon reactivation or tripping events, potentially damaging the PSU and other parts. Temporarily turn off XMP and PBO settings. Aim for a slower, default operation to assess stability recovery. Look into the cause of the breaker trip and identify the specific circuit responsible, possibly due to overload in a power strip or similar issue.
Visit C:\Windows\Minidump to see if any minidump files exist. If present, return to the Windows directory and transfer the entire Minidump folder to the Downloads folder (use your desktop if needed). Compress the copied folder and include it in a post. Please adhere strictly to instructions since Windows doesn't allow file manipulation there.
