BSOD following RAM upgrade (confirmed hardware is sound, possible issues remain)
I checked each of the new RAM modules in slot DIMMA2 and found only one that failed. When looking at the hex values, the sixth digit from the right changed by one in every error. Here are the Memtest86 results for both tests. MemTest86-Report-20220619-182651.html MemTest86-Report-20220619-183423.html
It seems strange that a replacement kit includes a faulty RAM module. Could it be that one of the DIMM slots is damaged, causing permanent harm to the RAM stick? I wasn’t able to locate such information on Google.
The issue with RAM arises because it can be damaged by unseen particles such as cosmic rays. This happens infrequently, yet it's not impossible.
They mentioned similar problems before, and both the initial and new parts are reporting the same fault.
