I own a laptop equipped with an i5-8265U, UHD 620 graphics and a GeForce MX230. It connects to a VGA monitor through an HDMI-VGA converter. I've been using it for some time and noticed that browser video playback or scrolling became slow. The main interface functions like normal—explorer and other apps run smoothly. Even games performed without lag. When I removed the monitor, the problem continued only with browser scrolling and video playback. After reinstalling the graphics drivers, restarting, and trying basic fixes like resetting the browser, nothing helped.

Is the graphics processing unit or hardware acceleration enabled in your browser?

Yes, it's active. No adjustments were made. It functioned properly earlier this morning but began lagging suddenly, affecting all browsers I use (Edge, Opera, Brave).

All systems use chromium as a foundation. Have you also explored alternatives such as Firefox? Also, does dragging the Explorer window rapidly trigger this issue?

Sure, I attempted Firefox and everything functioned smoothly—no delays at all. Chrome, however, showed some issues even after a fresh installation.

This method allows access to flags in Chrome by entering chrome://flags. Searching for Android SurfaceControl and disabling it may resolve the issue.
