They aren't extensions since I don't use them on my laptops, and they remain extremely slow without any reason.

It might be due to browser-related network problems. Consider updating your DNS settings. If that doesn't help, I'm not sure what caused the slow performance across all three devices.

Hi everyone, I'm facing the same problem. It seems to have started around November 2023. I've been using an ad blocker for about three years now, and it hasn't caused any issues. The biggest change in speed I notice is when watching YouTube—it's extremely slow, almost affecting my blood pressure. My PC isn't hardware-related; it's just not fast enough for normal speeds (around 500/300 MBPS). I think the ad blocker might be the culprit, but I'm not sure. Using EDGE works fine, but switching to Google Chrome makes the fans in my case spin very loudly. I tried reinstalling Chrome, clearing browsing data, and deleting cookies, but nothing helps. I'm not confident about anything else. Sorry for the unclear English. BR Filip

Also, the CPU spikes are mainly due to quick scrolling through YouTube videos.

Thorium is the focus here, as Chris Titus mentions. For YouTube, I’m using the Android app or the open-source Freetube, which handles quick loading even though searches aren’t always perfect.

Checked Chrome settings—System, hardware acceleration. It’s off on both my PCs. Think Chrome should run better then, but it doesn’t. I usually keep many tabs open (15-20) and still use YouTube without problems.

I’m unable to modify DNS settings or resolve network problems. Other apps run smoothly, and my phone operates correctly on the same network.
