Internet Explorer? I'm serious, I just checked and it consumes less RAM than Chrome. With a laptop that has 512 MB of RAM, you might want to think about upgrading.

Almost everything requires less RAM than Chrome. It tends to consume a lot of memory, which is what I recall from Spartan64. You might want to check out this comparison post to help you choose your browser: http://features.en.softonic.com/softonic...x-ie-opera

I possess approximately 8 GB of memory for browsing the web and handling documents, which allows ample space for a smooth user interface.

For newer systems with more RAM, it doesn't really matter. My remark was focused on his particular case.

Hi, I think Firefox would be a good choice. You can see that Internet Explorer uses less memory when only one tab is open. On the other hand, Firefox performs best with many tabs active. Chrome managed to release the most memory after closing several tabs, though the gap compared to Opera is minimal.
