I damaged the pin on my Ryzen 3600Xt and I’m checking if it can still function. I put it back in the motherboard and tried to boot, but there’s no post. I didn’t install a cooler since I’m using a hardline configuration and didn’t want to disassemble everything. My motherboard shows a yellow light in the top corner (likely for RAM), but my RAM looks fine. Any advice? (The pin is located in the bottom left of image 7th column, 10th row from the bottom.)

It won't function. The only solution is to reattach the pin, which isn't a simple task.

Occasionally you manage to succeed, other times you don't. Your solution appears when you attempt it. Indeed, damaged pins may lead to memory issues resulting in a No-POST error.

Yes, I understand the pin is responsible for handling that specific function.

I don't have the specific details about the pin's purpose. Could you provide more context or clarify what you're referring to?

You disconnected the pin and everything remained functional, likely because it’s a ground pin with enough backup connections. You might try reinstalling the memory to check if it works again.

Yes, it's a VSS ground connector.

It seems unclear if it's just a ground pin, but it should still transmit. Your other pins were bent and then you bent this one back, causing it to break.

It should still work, that's why I mentioned trying to reseat the RAM. Adding a cooler, even just the empty water block without thermal paste, could also be beneficial.

I attempted and reseated, but moving the RAM to a1&b1 resolved the problem. Now it posts when switched on, though it still doesn’t work when switched off. It’s fine to keep the RAM in slot 1; dual channel should function as long as you’re using the correct slots.
