Broken motherboard issue with ASRock Rack X570D4U not booting.
Hey there, I set up my own NAS server using the X570D4U mainboard from ASRockRack. After connecting all components—CPU cooler, ATX power, CPU power, etc.—I powered it on and pressed the power button. It started fans and restarted itself. I connected the VGA to the dedicated VGA port on the motherboard, which is powered by the BCM IPMI chip, but it didn’t output anything. For testing, I also installed a Zotac GeForce GT10 for video output, but still nothing. Then I linked the dedicated IPMI port to the network. Eventually, in the IPMI settings there was no CPU, GPU, or RAM listed under Peripherals. I tried using the KVM interface of IPMI, but it showed a black screen with “No Signal.” Even after several reboots and checks, I couldn’t get any video signal from the board. Anyone have faced this issue before? Do you know someone with the same board at home who can help? Maybe they have tips to fix it. (Also, the ATX cable from the power supply was a bit short, so I extended it with an ATX extension cable from SilverStone.) After all these tests, I’m starting to think the board might be faulty. Which processor? Also, I'd connect that graphics card. These server boards often use PCI_e for VGA, which causes the IPMI KVM to malfunction because it depends on the built-in display.
I have 2 16GB 2133Mhz cards with ECC and unbuffered EUDIMMS from Crucial. They appear in the Mainboard ds compatibility list as well.
