The latest Ryzen 5 CPUs don’t typically include thermal paste, so you usually don’t need to buy it. If you want better heat dissipation, consider high-quality thermal pads or compounds specifically designed for Ryzen processors.

The thermal compound is included with the coolers, and if you're using a stock cooler, the paste will be sufficient.

I was planning to purchase an AIO for my 3600x, but someone advised me that if I don’t overclock and it isn’t needed, it should function adequately with the stock CPU cooler.
