Consider reducing the setting by a specific amount to begin.
Could it be that you connected something incorrectly or there’s a mismatch? In the past, I assembled my PC using the same method as this one, but with a lower CPU, worse case, and a less powerful GPU. The only difference was the ATX size—this one uses MATX, so I’ll need to buy a cooler if it’s not compatible.
I've been using my BE QUIET Shadow Rock LP for about seven years and on two of my CPUs so far, without any problems. They seem to be top-notch for coolers. I also don’t get why people think Noctua is some kind of legendary brand—I mean they’re great, but I wouldn’t trade them for anything.
I tend to avoid adjusting voltages unless necessary. The new cooler seems like a much simpler fix, and I think it will resolve the problem. It's well known that AMD's stock coolers haven't been very impressive for their RYZEN line—every channel I've checked over the years recommends sticking to other coolers instead of the original ones.
I prefer DeepCool/Thermoalright. The Noctua NH-D15 is struggling against more affordable DeepCool/Thermoalright models. The issue with the Quiet Dark Rock 4 Pro is its very slow fans, causing subpar performance versus the competitors I discussed. The heat sink will struggle if paired with a 5800X class CPU, let alone the newer 7000X or 13/14 generation Intel CPUs.
They usually reach around 1500 RPM, and the Noctua NH D15 does the same. I've never faced problems with any of BE QUIET's coolers—they consistently perform well. This comes from someone who's used the latest model on two CPUs for seven years. I intend to switch to a Dark Rock 4 or PRO 4 soon.
