Just completed assembling my initial computer. It powers up smoothly and appears to function properly, displaying the “new cpu” message on my screen. Pressing delete for 10-15 minutes keeps it on that display without any changes. CPU: Ryzen 5800x3d GPU: AMD 6800X3D Corsair 1000W PSU B550 AORUS Elite AX v2 4x16GB GDDR6 RAM Skill DDR4

Based on the board's age, it might lack the latest bios to back the 5800x3d feature out of the box. A newer version needs to be F10 or higher. F10 was released in September 2020, meaning the board likely sat for a while before release—though it's hard to say for sure. Does it offer a newer bios option?

Restart the device and check if it returns to the previous screen. If not, the system may have frozen. Press control + alt + delete to reset the motherboard, but note that your keyboard might not be recognized.

Indicates the FB release, while the gigabytes site confirms compatibility with 5800x3D version

Press control+alt+delete and reset simultaneously. The interface returns to the same screen, yet tapping delete alone fails to navigate to setup.

If it doesn't work, remove all storage drives and try accessing BIOS. If successful, you received a locked drive. Return it for a refund and purchase elsewhere.

After I pressed that button, it performed its function and I could review everything in the bios, install the operating system, and handle all other tasks. I didn’t expect any videos to say simply delete or jump to setup without warning.

This message highlights the importance of reviewing the complete error details rather than stopping at the initial line. It encourages a thorough examination to ensure successful completion of the build.
