Hey, I just got an IOU for my PC—specifically the ML240l. You might need AM4 brackets, but I didn’t get any with the unit. Can I make some DIY ones or find them elsewhere? Thanks!

I meant you weren't supposed to miss the brackets entirely. The instructions included everything, even the 'Intel brackets'—you just needed to locate them in the red box for your AMD setup.

I haven't made a purchase yet. Could you confirm if you bought the motherboard new or used?

I wouldn't hesitate to send the motherboard either way. It seems you might have gotten a different unit—either it was new, meaning you didn't get the full board, or it was used before, which could raise some questions about its history.

I sent a package that was already assembled. It contained just the stock cooler for AMD, so I believe it didn’t require the brackets. I’ve been using this computer for about nine months now, but the heat made me bring in the cooler. The only part included was the CPU backplate.

You’ll likely have to locate these brackets elsewhere (and check the original installation plate if it’s not the standard one) or purchase a cooler that includes all necessary mounting parts.
