Bottleneck on CSGO
Bottleneck on CSGO
Hello everyone, I'm facing an issue with my new PC configuration (AMD Ryzen 7 1700X, 32GB RAM, 3000MHz, GTX 1060, 3GB). I experience frequent FPS drops and stutters. I've tried various registry fixes and checked everything I found online, but the results are consistent. After performing an OC on my CPU, only a modest 30fps improvement was observed. The issues remain the same. In my previous setup (i7 5820K, OC to 4.0GHz, 32GB RAM, 3000MHz, GTX 1060, 3GB), I never encountered this problem and maintained stable 350-400 FPS at 144Hz. The only improvement came from disabling the affinity setting in Task Manager, though performance drops significantly when many enemies are nearby. Thank you for reading.
What is the performance rate of your parts during gaming? Could you also share your complete system specifications?
Cpu performance for older titles ranges 15-18% while new games show average 50% and higher. GPU stats: old games at 50% and new games between 80-100%. RAM configuration includes Corsair LPX DDR4 32GB. Display specifications feature MSi Gaming nVIDIA GTX 1060 3GB VGA. Power supply unit is Corsair TX850. Storage solutions consist of a Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD with rapid mode enabled, followed by a Sandisk SSD Plus 480GB. Hard drive option is Western Digital RE 3 TB Enterprise. CPU cooler used is MSi Core Frozr L, and the monitor is an Asus VG248QE at 144hz. Operating system installed is Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64.
What storage device holds your operating system, games, BIOS, GPU drivers, and CPU drivers? Are they all up to date?
You might want to consider the game itself as the main issue, given its heavy reliance on single-thread performance. This issue is common with games like GTA V, which often face similar performance challenges. The optimization levels are quite low, making it difficult to run smoothly. There are likely ways to increase thread usage, and with the R7 1700X you have a good chance of improving things. Another option is to overclock the GPU VRAM, though it has only 3GB available, which may not be sufficient for high settings.
