Oh LCC, I’m not sure I have the LCC configuration set up. The LN2 Mode switch appears to be off, and Fast Boot is also disabled. It looks like I didn’t enable Extreme OC settings, which might explain the lack of LCC functionality. I checked the voltage using hwinfo64; I was discussing current capabilities, thinking it’s likely a power limit issue. I’m trying to keep the CPU under 61°C, so I run at 4500MHz. My processor doesn’t seem to handle core overclocking as well as others—at 4500MHz it hits 1.425V and 1.475V respectively. Attempting 5000MHz didn’t work even with 8 cores, and 4800MHz felt unstable. For 4500MHz I can reach 4.5GHz, 6 cores at 4.9GHz, and 8 cores at 4.7GHz on NB(IMC). 2400 and 2600 are feasible, but 2700 seems problematic under power-saving mode. At 4800MHz it worked but didn’t feel stable. My CPU supports up to 4-core 5GHz, 6-core 4.9GHz, and 8-core 4.7GHz on NB(IMC). Power savings at 2700 seem risky, so I’m off in C6 mode with static voltage instead of offset. ___________________ BDC disables the X87 instruction set in the chip, which can improve performance. It didn’t launch properly—I got that error. I’m unsure if my Windows installation is up to date, since I’ve had it for years and faced many overclocking failures, especially with RAM. i’m completely unsure about the situation and don’t want to invest much. maybe go for 1gb or 2gb sticks with better chips instead? those should be affordable unless you get a free one, and you could try higher clocks and tighter timings to check if timing issues are the problem. for the sticks, aim for models like m378b5673gb0 (dualrank gdie) or hmt325u6cfr8c and m378b5773dh0, though they’re less common. alternatively, consider a bios update. i’m not sure if that’ll help, but it’s worth trying. if it doesn’t work, you could upgrade to a ch341a and flash the bios chip externally—it’s easy to do since it fits between the 2nd and 3rd pcie x16 slots near the southbridge heatsink. cooling could improve with something like a phantom spirit 120 or a budget thermal aio. these parts are reusable if you switch platforms later, so it’s not a waste to buy them now.
