Responding again after the latest update. Another baby lost, three out of three babies... The XG-17 with the panel swapped still has the same issue. Even though it failed less than six months ago, it's now out of warranty. ASUS is likely to charge me around $300 or more for repairs, probably including the diagnostic fee of about $85 plus a few hundred dollars. I might be able to get a new screen for around $100, so I’ll probably go ahead with that if things get worse. Right now it only shows three lines at the bottom, but the replacement screen seems to be a different model (300Hz vs 240Hz). Maybe it’ll last a little longer.
