Hopefully you can manage to save around $40 on a really nice build with a budget of at least $1500-2000 to achieve a noticeably slower part feels off. Especially considering an x570 Taichi was a solid choice, that board isn't inexpensive. Great motherboards are often available for about $40 less and the entire setup would be more balanced and faster. If prices aren't close, I'd fully agree—prioritize whatever fits your budget. I believe spending the extra $40 now makes perfect sense because it will likely last longer than a 5600x or even the 10700k. If the budget can't handle a 10700f, it's essentially a better deal for a 10700k. I really hope the motherboard cost isn't higher than the CPU and that RAM and power supply aren't too pricey. My first build had costly RAM, PSU, and motherboard. I could have swapped everything for a better one without exceeding my budget, but I really wish I had chosen the other CPU instead.

Apologies for the delay, but the z590 Vision G and B550 Taichi match in price after applying the micro center rebate. Based on what I’ve discovered, using the 10850k model stays well within the $2000 budget (including monitor and keyboard if matched). I hope he chooses the 10850k option.

I've heard positive feedback about the Gigabyte Z590 UD, especially its thermal performance even with a 11900k processor. With only two M.2 slots, one of which might be removed with a newer chip, it's hard to decide. I'm leaning toward the 11700K, 10850k, or either 5800x or 5900x. I wouldn't feel comfortable returning to a 6-core configuration, even if it's adequate.

It would depend on the value. A $60 more without tax gives a 5800x ($2047) versus $10,850k ($1987). Consider if that difference matters to you.

In terms of performance, they're roughly comparable in most cases, just a slight variation. 10850k likely benefits from a more robust motherboard and cooler, but the difference is minimal.

Yes, those specs would likely be too much for a flight sim or VR rig.

5800x achieves this, though the numbers seem odd with the 10600k outperforming the higher-tier chips. I’d consider other tests.

I'm concerned about the total cost of around $1700, especially since the 3070 is above the MSRP. It feels like the 5600k might not be as powerful as the 10700k for its price. The results look reasonable compared to other videos I've seen.

It's tough to put into words. I don't believe you'll really see a clear change anytime soon.

The difference is just $10, it depends on his preference between the two options.
