It's unpredictable. Sometimes it doesn't occur at all, other times it happens multiple times a day. My computer isn't even that old. I've shared some Event Logs from the past 12 hours, updated my BIOS to the latest version, and it functioned for about a week before it failed again. I rolled back and reinstalled GPU updates, ran MemTest86, and everything came back clean. I performed a DISM scan and SFC scan, both reported no issues. I also adjusted the GPU voltage briefly and it seemed to work for a few days before it failed once more. I have HWMonitor logs, but I'm unsure if they'll help since they appear before crashes. They seem unrelated to the problems. Please assist me, as I'm unsure what's happening and don't want to replace parts.
I’ve been looking into this error for a week now, and it seems to affect most GPUs, especially the 40 series models. Start by reseating your GPU. If the issue continues, proceed to the next step: unplug the power cable and check for any damaged pins. Clean any debris from the connections. Then, reconnect everything carefully and ensure the power cable is fully secured. I suggest watching a YouTube tutorial for guidance. Let me know if any of these steps help, or if you need further assistance. I’m sorry for the inconvenience—I might have a dead GPU and will replace it tomorrow. Feel free to tell me if you’d like an update once the new one arrives.
I'll give it a shot, my GPU is set up vertically and that could be the reason. However, I haven't noticed temperatures spiking to the point of throttling before.
Classic GPU malfunction occurred. Thirty models faced problems where the slot retention tab broke and removed power traces from the PCB, leading to this specific issue.
I made a note to add that link later. I’ll test it out tomorrow by removing it and connecting it for a few days to check for any problems. Updates will follow.
