Borderlands single player = so much death ... at least for me. I hate games like where you get these infinite amount of lives and then also when I faced a boss I killed him but when it started it up this time he had no adds right away helping him. I also don't mind respawns but the amount I had to head back into after killing him was ridiculous! Anyone kind of dislike Borderlands as a single player game?
I don't like Borderlands because it's a common title with weak drop tables and bad design.
Borderlands is my top choice, especially number two. The prequel fell short though. OP should try more mob slaying and level up a bit before heading back for the showdown. Incorporate elemental weapons too—fire for flesh (red bar), shock for shield (blue bar), corrosive for armor (yellow bar). Explosives work well overall but are weaker against specific elemental weaknesses.
The borderlands is a solid game if you enjoy its humor, but it can be frustrating for those who don’t. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, it might be worth upgrading your levels or getting better weapons. I’ve played both versions and found the second one especially enjoyable with many improvements. In short, if you’re not having fun, consider stopping and trying something else—playing only games you like is key!
Guys I think I could always go through this again and just aim to die less. LOL Even then it doesn’t fix the issue with bosses spawning adds and respawning during fights. Disappointed that it never got patched. Surprised it wasn’t fixed before. I admit I don’t really like Borderlands because of its flaws, but I keep playing anyway and facing those issues again. So there must be some positives. Maybe a second run will make me like it more. Thanks for the tips on using Weapons Effectively vs certain bosses/enemies. Also, I’ve been killing random stuff to level up—knowing enough to do that helped because I’m not a beginner. Using my gaming mouse properly and switching buttons for actions like grenade throw and crouch is useful. I also moved melee to another button since I couldn’t reach it when needed. That was tough. My Logitech G300 works too. Talking about the game with others today is helping me see things better, like choosing the right weapons for the distance and not being too lazy—just fight properly instead of just chasing kills from afar. I need to get better at reading fights.
I enjoyed the first version completed twice. The second one was extremely difficult—I quit after facing that first boss around level 4. Both versions have the worst console-to-PC interface I've encountered, though they were so poor on the first one that the mouse doesn't function on half of it and it just says [ENTER] instead of showing a proper icon. I'm not sure if they improved it in the prequel version.
