You just received the RX 5700 XT and now have a code. Thanks to the AMD deal, you can get better versions like Borderlands 3 or Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Which one is better and what are the differences between them?

Borderlands 3 stands out more. The main changes lie in the graphics style and the environments. I’d choose Borderlands 3, sell the code for $30 to $40, then purchase Borderlands 2 for $5 on Steam. Buy Ghost Recon Wildlands for $10 to $15 in a few weeks during the Christmas sale, and use the remaining $10 to $25 on whatever you prefer.

If you simply need Borderlands 3 over Borderlands 2 for reasons you don’t know, keep the $5 on Borderlands 2 and allocate the $15 to $30 for Borderlands 3. By Christmas, it should be at $30 or less in online stores.

You’ll get similar experiences with Borderlands 2 and Ghost Recon Wildlands compared to Borderlands 3 and Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The positive side is both games offer easier play, higher frame rates, and are just as visually appealing.

I’ve been playing Ghost Recon Wildlands since it launched in late August, logging around 180 hours. And if you’re unfamiliar with Borderlands 2’s quality—whether the original or the prequel—ask yourself why four Borderlands titles were released at all.

I've heard negative comments about Breakpoint. They intentionally extended the game with leveled gear and enemies. In wildlands, I appreciated the ultimate soldier experience—you could go anywhere with increased difficulty and obstacles. Now it seems they focus more on damage and less on challenge. The car physics were poor in closed beta, but they reportedly improved. The game is likely to end soon, similar to Division 2. I suggest Borderlands 3 instead.

Breakpoint is a failure. We ended after 30 hours... it's really disappointing and nothing comes close to Wildlands.
