Could this game still work as a co-op experience? I used to play it with a friend about half a year ago, but we never completed it. Recently I asked him if he’s interested in finishing it, and he mentioned there’s no longer any co-op support available.

Borderlands 1 now utilizes Steamworks for its multiplayer functionality.
