You just set up Linux Mint Debian Edition 3 on a separate partition and placed the bootloader on dev/sda. Windows isn't showing up in the boot options when you power on. Your BIOS lists Linux as first priority and Windows as secondary, but changing this should let you boot into Windows. Both systems are functioning properly. To fix this, you need to adjust the boot order in your BIOS so Windows appears as the first option.

Place the Windows partition in a suitable location, then install the "os-prober" package. After installation, execute grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

I enjoy installing Linux on a secondary storage, then launching from that drive for Windows and Drive 1. Additionally, during a fresh Windows installation the bootloader won't replace the Linux one.

That’s a solid suggestion, but I’m avoiding doing everything at once.

Access the drive via its partition name or open it directly from your file manager.

I resolved the issue with os-prober and update-grub. It now shows up in the list and everything functions properly.
