You were viewing the screen for choosing storage size for the bootcamp partition. After someone in your family closed out of it, everything remains on the USB drive. You can simply click Install Windows 7 Or Later, select Parition, then proceed with install or skip the steps if needed.

You can easily set it up after the partition is made. I’ve had to handle it manually a few times for older Windows releases. By skipping this step, you’ll miss out on the automation Bootcamp usually provides.

You should still be able to use your Apple Magic Mouse, you won’t need to repeat all three tasks.

It should continue functioning as expected on an emulated PS2, though you’ll need to install the Bootcamp drivers. You’ll also have to make a driver flash drive prior to partitioning, according to what I recall.
