Are you certain this applies to GPUs added via the GPU menu rather than GPUs built into the CPU? The presence of an option labeled "integrated peripherals" suggests it's intended to optimize startup performance for CPUs lacking an integrated GPU.

I tried it on an MSI B450 Pro-VDH MAX with a Ryzen 5 2600. No built-in graphics card. Prior to the BIOS update, I had to plug in a GPU for it to start. After the update, it boots up fully without any graphics card.
