Boot time is 20 seconds with no BIOS prompt.
Hey everyone, I’ve been facing some problems over the last couple of weeks. Here’s what my setup looks like: Ryzen 7 7700x, AMD Phantom gaming 6800xt, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM 6000mt, Asus Mobo B650-E, Corsair 750x PSU, and Aigoo 240mm AIO. My computer is running smoothly without any problems, but the boot time is really slow—about 20 seconds. That’s way longer than my previous Intel build, which booted quickly. Could this be a hardware issue? Or am I just thinking about installing Windows 11? What do you all think?
Assess your memory performance. Ryzen systems often struggle with Vengeance DIMMs. I suspect your lag stems from training, so examine closely whether it actually operates at the intended speed and timings. Frequently after prolonged use, it reverts to the JEDEC standard for booting, making it impossible to tell from notifications. Use HWinfo or CPU-Z in Windows to check the actual memory speed you’re seeing. Also verify your BIOS settings to confirm the memory profile is correctly configured—XMP or EXPO—and note that even if set, it may not function as expected.
